With higher ABV than in 2016, Ilex 2017 is a muscular wine at 14.5 ° and lingers longer than the previous vintage. It is a lively, full-flavoured, bracing wine, with good spice notes and vanilla nuances.

Intense ruby red hues come with nose notes of black berry fruit and cherry jam, hinting at spice and vanilla. The fruity nose notes follow through to the palate.

Aged in second-fill French oak barriques for twelve months and in the bottle for three months. 100% Sangiovese.

Ageing process: in French oak barrels (50% the first process and 50% the second process) for two years; then in the bottle for an additional two years

Sensory analysis: the wine is an intense ruby red color with olfactory notes of black berry fruit and cherry jam which are accompanied by spicy sensations and a hint of vanilla. The fruity expressions from the nose return in the flavor as the wine is tonic and lively mid-palate with a marked sapidity. The tannins ensure good persistence
