Brunello di Montalcino D.O.C.G. 2015 Magnum 1,5L
The 2015 Brunello is extremely popular and has taken home the largest number of awards. The excellent vintage produced deep wine with huge development potential, remarkable for its vibrant, intense hues, spirited tannins, and crisp, powerful, fruit-laden aromas.
Its ruby red hues are tinged with garnet. The nose profile is woven with red and black berry fruit, and balsamic notes like sweet pipe tobacco and thyme. The solid mouth structure pairs with excellent mineral traits, consistent with the aromatic weave. The fine-grained, slightly dry tannins underpin a medium-to-leisurely length and a gently rugged finish
Aged in French oak tonneaux (50% in new wood; 50% in second-fill) for two years, then in the bottle for a further two years.
100% Sangiovese Grosso.
Ageing process: in French oak barrels (50% the first process and 50% the second process) for two years; then in the bottle for an additional two years
Sensory analysis: The wine is a deep ruby red color with garnet hues. It offers a complex olfactory expression, with notes of red and black berry fruits – similar to cherries, prunes and black berries- accompanied by spicy sensations and balsamic expressions such as sweet tobacco and thyme. On the palate, the wine is profound and well structured; its solid structure is associated with good minerality and perfect consistency in its olfactory expression. The medium-long persistence and slightly rough closure are linked to its fine and slightly dry tannins
Total Alcoholic strength by volume: 14,5%
