Brunello di Montalcino D.O.C.G. 2014

€75.00

The elegant, powerful 2014 Brunello was just a whisker from the “Benvenuto Brunello” podium in New York. The challenging weather conditions were met thanks to careful selection of the bunches, so only healthy, properly ripe grapes were harvested.

Its vibrant ruby red hues are tinged with hints of garnet. The nose profile tends prevalently to red berry fruit notes and hints of jam, sharing the scene with shades of leather in the extract. The fruity mouth notes combine with hints of sweet pipe tobacco and flint. Vibrant, minerally length is laced with fine-grained tannins.

Aged in French oak tonneaux (50% in new wood; 50% in second-fill) for two years, then in the bottle for a further two years.
100% Sangiovese Grosso.

Sensory analysis: The wine has an intense ruby red color with garnet hues. The olfactory notes are mainly of red berry fruits, such as cherry and jam flavors, which are joined by fine phenolic expressions that are leathery.

The aroma, with the fruity notes already present return to the nose, has sweet tobacco sensations and touch of flint. The strong and vibrant persistence is associated with a fine tannic and mineral component of the wine
